About Us
In 2015, Camp Wingate was created with a vision of building a camp rooted in history while establishing new and lasting traditions of its own. To build a camp where campers are known and cared for; a place where kids can unplug and enjoy their summers.
Over the years, we have upgraded our facilities to include new bunks, an expanded dining hall, resurfaced basketball and tennis/pickleball courts, and a brand new arts centre in 2024.
At Camp Wingate, we value friendship, enthusiasm, respect, and responsibility.
We continue to care for and improve the camp each summer, with further updates for 2026.

You will experience the true meaning of community at camp. We celebrate each of our campers' unique qualities and individual personalities. At Wingate we strive to create a caring community that is based on respect, responsibility, safety, accountability and kindness. Learning to play and work together as a bunk, section and team forms the basis of our warm and supportive community.

It is found in welcoming a new camper, offering a word of encouragement, celebrating someone else's success, or simply making sure no one feels left out. The First Eleven Years
Camp Wingate began with 100 campers, a dedicated team, and families who believed in what we were creating. Since then, it’s become more than a camp—it’s a place that feels like home. This video looks back at those early days, the people who showed up, and the moments that shaped us.
