About Us
In 2015, Camp Wingate was created by a small dedicated group of people who had a vision of building a camp rooted in history while establishing new and lasting traditions of its own. The vision was clear, to build a camp that was small in size and where campers would be known and cared for; a place where kids could come, unplug, have fun and enjoy their summers in a truly special setting. Over the years, we have upgraded our facilities to include new bunks, an expanded dining hall, resurfaced basketball and tennis/pickleball courts and a brand new arts centre in 2024!
Our summer camp offers a broad array of individual and team sports, performing and visual arts as well as camp-wide special events. In a fun and stimulating environment we provide a range of opportunities for kids to challenge themselves, gain confidence and expand their horizons. At Camp Wingate our goal is to promote a sense of friendship, enthusiasm, respect and responsibility.

Camp Wingate began with 100 campers, a dedicated team, and families who believed in what we were creating. Since then, it’s become more than a camp—it’s a place that feels like home. This video looks back at those early days, the people who showed up, and the moments that shaped us.
