Week 1 is in the books, and what a fantastic week we’ve had! With incredible weather, all activities in full swing, amazing evening activities, POTH and loads of time on the waterfront the kids are having a blast and we are just getting started! Week 2 is underway and we’re loving life in camp!

Glazer's Game Plan

The fields and courts were absolutely buzzing this week! Camp was alive with energy as every field, court, and diamond was filled with campers playing, competing, and having fun. Check out all the highlights below.

🏒 Juniors Corner

The Juniors have been everywhere this week! From the courts to the rink, the energy has been off the charts.

The inaugural Junior Classic Ball Hockey Tournament was a huge success, with campers showing off impressive skills, teamwork, and plenty of hustle. The excitement continues this Wednesday as the Junior Classic Basketball/Soccer Tournament tips off. We can't wait to see who comes away with the title!

🏀 Surf vs. Turf Cup

Series: Bunk 12 leads 2-0

Bunk 12 has jumped out to an early 2-0 series lead after edging Bunk 7 by a score of 27-23 in an exciting basketball matchup. The game stayed close from start to finish before Jax Shapiro took over offensively, pouring in 15 points to help secure the victory.

⚾ '67 Cup

Series: Bunk 5 leads 2-0

Bunk 5 continues to roll, taking a commanding 2-0 lead in the series. Offensive stars Jaden Besner and Chase Gordon each filled the stat sheet with a triple, a run scored, and an RBI, leading the way in another impressive team performance.

⚽ King of the Hill Cup

The upset of the week belongs to Bunk 8!

The younger squad shocked the older Bunk 9 boys in an unforgettable soccer match that was ultimately decided by penalty kicks. Goaltender Ben Martella stood on his head, making seven saves before coming through in the shootout to secure the victory.

The highlight of the game belonged to Jordan Pollack, who brought the crowd to its feet with an incredible coast-to-coast goal, weaving through the entire defence before finding the back of the net.

🚨 Primetime Transaction News

It didn't take long for Primetime to become one of the hottest tickets at camp. After an action-packed opening Saturday, campers who hadn't originally signed up quickly realized what they were missing and started asking if they could get in on the action.

The league has listened.

Effective immediately, Primetime Free Agency is open! Campers who were not originally on a roster will have the opportunity to sign with a team, while coaches will also have the chance to make trades before the Primetime Trade Deadline.

Need another scorer? Looking for a defensive specialist? Searching for a clutch hitter? Now is the time to make your move.

Once the trade deadline passes, all rosters will be locked for the remainder of the regular season and playoffs.

The phones are ringing, the rumours are flying, and Primetime General Managers are officially on the clock.

Activity Highlight

Frisbee Golf

Few activities are generating as much excitement as Frisbee golf this summer! Whether it's a casual afternoon round or a heated battle for bragging rights, the course is always busy.

This summer, we've added a new competitive twist with an official Frisbee Golf Scorecard, allowing campers to track their scores throughout the week. At the end of each week, the camper with the lowest score earns one of the most coveted prizes in camp sports: the Blue Jacket. Inspired by golf's famous Green Jacket, our Wingate version recognizes the week's Frisbee Golf champion until a new winner is crowned the following week.

Congratulations to our inaugural Blue Jacket winner, Carter Etinson, who fired an outstanding 36 (-1) to claim the first title of the summer. The bar has officially been set. Who will be wearing the Blue Jacket next week?
