🏕️ Bunk Series

🌊 Surf vs. Turf Cup

What a finish to one of the most entertaining series of the summer.

With their backs against the wall, Bunk 12 exploded for a dominant 14-0 Football victory to force a winner-take-all Game 7. Dylan Salis starred on both sides of the ball with a Pick Six and a touchdown reception, while Cade Rubin anchored the defense with three quarterback sacks (flag pulls). Cooper Byer also found the end zone as Surf refused to let the series slip away.

Game 7 delivered every bit of the drama fans hoped for.

Harry Lash scored 2 goals and 1 assist, including the Golden Goal overtime winner, to lift Bunk 7 to the Surf vs. Turf Cup Championship, capping off an unforgettable seven-game battle.

Wingate Wars 2026

The Quest for Spirit

The camp was awakened early in the morning by an exciting announcement: "The fire ban has finally been lifted! Grab a sweater and head down to Lower Field because we're celebrating with Camp Wingate's first campfire and a surprise s'mores party!"

The campers raced down to Lower Field expecting a fun celebration. Instead, they found the Outdoor Adventure staff gathered around a large fire pit, desperately trying to light the fire. They tried everything: adding wood, striking matches, fanning the flames, and bringing more kindling, but nothing worked. The fire simply refused to ignite. Confusion spread throughout the crowd as everyone wondered why.

Suddenly, the sound of a helicopter echoed across camp. It grew louder until a helicopter descended and landed on the field. Two mysterious figures, each carrying a briefcase, stepped out and calmly approached the crowd.

They explained that they were guardians of the Moon Knights and the Sun Heroes, two ancient groups that had protected the land of Camp Wingate for generations. For centuries, they had believed that fire was the source of the camp's strength. When the fire ban began, they feared the land could not survive without it.

To their surprise, Camp Wingate continued to thrive. Campers laughed, played, sang, and built friendships, and somehow the land endured. Through months of watching, they discovered the truth: fire had never been the true source of Camp Wingate's power.

The real source was the Spirit of Wingate. Every camper, counsellor, game, song, cheer, and act of kindness created an energy that kept the camp alive. Fire alone could not sustain Camp Wingate. It was the spirit of its people that gave it life. However, they revealed that while the fire ban had ended, the Spirit of Wingate had grown weaker. Without enough spirit, even the strongest fire could not be lit.

There was only one group that would be able to provide enough spirit to ensure the camp survived. Who would it be? The Sun Heroes or the Moon Knights?

There was only one way to find out.
