Great Vibes in Week 5

As we head into the final stretch of summer 2025, we want to fill you in on life at Wingate during week 5. We started the week off by welcoming our second session campers. We have loved getting to know them and they have been a great addition to camp!

Our seniors went out of camp for their overnight canoe trips in Tremblant park. They had a blast canoeing, setting up their tents and cooking meals over the fire. On Thursday, the whole camp went to the waterslides. Both kids and staff loved the outing!

On Friday morning, one of our favorite camp-wide second session activities started. After being given special Gotcha water bottles, campers and staff strategized over the weekend to stay dry and in the game. We were so excited to welcome our Weekend campers to Wingate on Friday. They jumped right into camp life and we loved giving them a taste of life at Wingate. We can’t wait to see them again next summer!

Saturday was a busy day at camp! Bunk 1 and 5 did the Amazing race–congrats to James Velan, Dani Priston, Cole Woloz and Joey Shapiro for coming in first place! The Juniors and Weekenders had a blast at the Jungle Jamboree while the high seniors spent the afternoon working on their legacy projects. They did an incredible job painting a picnic table and creating bunk plaques to mark the end of their camper years. Our last week of camp is a super busy one as we try and soak in our last few days of summer 2025!
